The exciting news is that our first demo and video caught the intrest of our new producer, Joe Hougnon of Propaganda Records. We have now had our first studio session with Joe to start the recording of our first album. Besides being a great producer Joe is also an excellent guitar player and he is laying down tracks with us and has agreed to play with us on some of our performance outings.
Andy was also able to bring in Val Fuentes, drummer from It’s A Beautiful Day, to come in and track with us. We are very excited to have such great talent joining us on this project and it is wonderful to see this crazy dream of ours coming to life and becoming a reality. The first rough mixes are sounding great and show great promise but we also see that there is a lot more work to be done to make our songs really shine.
This is a really busy time of the year so with jobs, family commitments for the holidays and other activities we are finding a bit hard to make time for studio sessions so we may have to wait until after the first of the year to get back to recording and it will likely be a few months before we complete this project. I’ll make another post when we get back into the studio.
in our first studio session. The rough mixes show great promise and we’re looking forward to getting back into the studio with Joe and finishing up the first couple of songs before moving on to the rest of our material.
Andy and I are very exciting to see this all coming together and to have such great talent joining us in making this dream a realitl. Between jobs, the holidays, family and other interests we are finding it hard to get together regularly so it may be a few months before we can get this project completed. Hopefully we’ll be able to commit more time to this once the holiday season is over. We’ll make more posts on this as we make a little more progress on this.
